Privacy policy

This policy explains how we process personal data when you visit krin.ai or contact us. We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, also take the GDPR into account.

Website delivery and security

The website is delivered through Cloudflare Workers. This requires processing technical connection data, in particular the IP address, time, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser and device details, and referrer. This is necessary to deliver the website, defend against attacks, and investigate faults.

Cloudflare, Inc. and affiliated companies process this data on our behalf. Data may also be processed outside Switzerland or the EEA; such transfers are based on recognised safeguards, in particular contractual data-protection clauses. Technical logs are retained only for as long as needed for operation, security, and the investigation of specific incidents.

Usage analytics with PostHog

PostHog is active on every page view. We use PostHog's EU Cloud in Frankfurt and proxy requests through krin.ai. We collect page views and page leaves, time, and technical browser and device details. Automatic click capture, session recordings, form inputs, and person profiles are disabled. IP anonymisation is enabled for the project.

Analytics runs in cookieless mode. PostHog stores no data in cookies or in local or session browser storage for this purpose and counts visitors using a privacy-preserving server-side hash. PostHog currently retains analytics events for this project for up to 84 months.

Language preference

If you choose the English version, we store a technically necessary cookie named lang for one year. It contains only the selected language.

Contact by email

If you email us, we process your contact details and message in order to respond and manage the resulting business relationship. We retain correspondence for as long as needed for the request, the business relationship, or statutory record-keeping duties.

Recipients and international transfers

We use Cloudflare to operate the website and PostHog for usage analytics. Both providers may use subprocessors. We disclose data elsewhere only when necessary to provide a service, required by law, or initiated by you.
